In Arabic, “SKOUN” means the internal tranquility and silence. “SKOUN” is also an Arabic punctuation mark, which indicates a pause while pronouncing a word. Our mission SKOUN is a non-profit making, non-political and non-sectarian Lebanese organization. Created in 2003, it is the first walk-in outpatient therapeutic facility in Lebanon that offers prevention, awareness and psychological treatment, to drug users and society at large. SKOUN is based on an ethical, non-judgmental, holistic approach, with primary concern for patient individuality, confidentiality and integrity.
